Charitable Support
Since our establishment Mike’s Ice has generously supported the Cayman community proudly supplying ice to National events such as Pirates Week and Batabano. In addition we offer concessions on ice to many worthy Cayman focused charities and events. All charitable decisions are made at the discretion of the Mike’s Ice board of directors.
Disaster Ice
Experience has shown that ice is a critical part of recovery efforts following a national emergency or disaster. In the wake of Hurricane Ivan in 2004 Mike’s Ice donated three 40ft containers of Ice to the community with the assistance of the Lions Club.
At Mike’s ice we are prepared to support the community’s ice needs in these critical moments just as we have done in the past offering relief through quick and reliable access to ice and water.

Why is our ice so clear? We proudly stand behind the quality of the ice we produce by way of an extensive purification and filtration process or ‘blow down’ that occurs at the end of every ice production cycle, removing any residual residue in the water supply.
Our History
Mike’s Ice has always been a close family business with family members playing a role in the company’s early development and expansion. The company was founded in 1972 by businessman and air conditioning/refrigeration specialist Leslie “Topper” Brown and his son Michael Brown, a mechanical engineer. Mike’s Ice was granted the first business licence to manufacture ice on the Island, manufacturing tube ice from their first ice plant on Walkers Road.
